A Japanese Court has granted an injunction backed by game manufacturers. that makes the R4 cartridge (which allows DS players to play copied and homemade games via SD card) Illegal to sell. This should hinder Japanese game pirates a little atleast.

The R4 card is still legal to buy here in the UK aswell as all other countries, but Game companies may see a good opportunity to thwart pirates, and move for the product to be outlawed in other countries.

Nintendo have announced that they will be releasing a 2 gigabyte SD memory card, the only difference between this and any other 2 gig SD memory card is that this one says Nintendo on it.

due for release in march the nintendo 2gb SD card will mainly be used for Wii and DS but works just like any other 2GB SD card in cameras and such. why nintendo are making a big deal out of this i have no idea just look how many 2 gig SD cards are already on the market:

Microsoft have announced plans to open a chain of microsoft stores across europe.

A spokesman from microsoft said: “Our target is a small number of high profile experience stores in a few major cities around the world, our main objetive is to change the buying experience for consumers around the world, to show and demonstrate Microsoft’s key consumer products in a deeper and more meaningful way, making it more simple and easy for consumers to purchase PC’s and devices that truly meet their specific needs.”

The gay rights group GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has retaliated against Xbox Live’s banning of a user due to her sexual orientation and are apparently in talks with Microsoft to attempt to rectify the situation.

Treyarch have recently released a patch update for World at War that apparently fixes all the glitches in the maps. but im sure they missed a couple, so dont expect the little nerdy kid sat under the map with the MG42 to be vanquished Just yet. Atleast MOST of the little annoyances will be gone.

The update will automaticaly download next time you play the game whiles signed in to Xbox Live or Playstation Network.

also Treyarch released a Free New Map for the game.

An Xbox Live Gamer named Teresawas banned This week For stating in her profile that she was a lesbian.
The woman was apparently followed into online games and being harrased by people asking users to report her as they diddnt want their kids seeing things of that nature.

Microsoft have not yet commented on this situation.
